Users of Rostelecom from Moscow, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg and a number of other Russian cities had problems with access to some foreign Internet resources, follows from the data downradar. According to the Telegram channel “Durov’s Code”the web version of Telegram and “almost all foreign services” do not open for users.
Rostelecom confirmed the problem. The company said that access may be temporarily hindered due to a failure at one of the traffic exchange sites in Europe. Rostelecom added that its networks in Russia are operating normally. “There are technical problems on one of the European traffic exchange sites. Because of this, access to some foreign Internet resources may be temporarily difficult. Backup international communication channels have been connected, ”Kommersant was told in the company’s press service.
