Rosneft» On August 25, it announced the completion of the construction of the Suzun-Vankor gas pipeline with a pumping capacity of 2.2 billion cubic meters. m per year as part of the Vostok Oil project. The Company has started comprehensive testing of gas transmission system facilities at the Suzunskoye field.

The gas pipeline is about 80 km long, the company said. Through it, associated petroleum gas from the Suzunskoye field will be supplied to the central collection point of the Vankor field, where the gas will be prepared for further delivery to the unified gas transmission system of Russia. The recoverable reserves of the Suzunskoye field are estimated at 39 billion cubic meters. m of gas. “Gas from both fields is sent to the unified gas transmission system of the country for delivery to consumers. At the same time, a synergistic effect is achieved through the use of the existing powerful infrastructure of Vankor,” the company noted.

Nearly 43 billion cubic meters of gas were supplied from the fields of the Vankor cluster to the unified system. m of commercial gas.

The gas pipeline was built on land, follows from the message of Rosneft.

Vostok Oil is the largest hydrocarbon production project with a resource base of more than 6 billion tons of sweet oil in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Rosneft began implementing the project in 2020. Vostok Oil includes the fields of the Vankor cluster, the Payakh group, the West Irkinsky area and the East Taimyr group.

Alexander Frolov, Deputy Director General of the National Energy Institute, explained that the construction of a new gas pipeline at the Suzunskoye field is an important step in achieving the stated goal of Rosneft – to provide the Vostok Oil project with a low carbon footprint. “The project provides for the complete utilization of associated petroleum gas, and this distinguishes it favorably from other new major oil projects in the world,” Frolov said. – One of the most extensive and modern gas collection, treatment and transportation systems has been created at the Vankor field. All this makes it possible to rationally use associated petroleum gas with almost 100% indicator.”

“The construction of gas pipelines can be 100% provided by domestic production, both in terms of pipe products, and in terms of gas compressor units and less significant elements of the gas pipeline,” the expert explained. He added that the Russian oil and gas industry has been preparing for the imposition of sanctions for the past 15 years, therefore it has developed its own production in order to replace foreign materials as much as possible.

Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin declaredthat the results of geological exploration at the project make it possible to plan high levels of oil production with a phased output of up to 115 million tons of oil in 2033. According to the roadmap for the development of the Northern Sea Route until 2035, the volume of cargo transportation from Vostok Oil in 2024 will amount to 30 million tons, and in 2030 it should grow to 100 million tons with the volume remaining until 2035 (Vedomosti wrote about this on August 5).

On July 25, the first production well was drilled at the Payakhskoye oil field, which is part of Vostok Oil. It is planned that the first oil will come from the Payakhskoye field in 2024.
