Rosatom will train 1.7 thousand specialists to work at the Egyptian nuclear power plant for 5 billion rubles

The Rosatom Technical Academy will have to train 1,712 specialists for the Ed-Dabaa nuclear power plant under construction in Egypt. The documents are posted on the public procurement website. As reported TASS, the value of the contract will be more than 5 billion rubles. (more than 2.9 million rubles per person).
The trainees will have to take courses on 100 subjects, including the Russian language, administrative issues of nuclear power plant operation, personnel management, requirements for radioactive waste management. They will be trained in simulators at the reference nuclear power plant in Russia, and then on simulators at the Ed-Dabaa NPP.
The construction of the Ed-Dabaa nuclear power plant began in July 2022. Completion is scheduled for 2028. Russia will supply nuclear fuel to the station throughout its entire life cycle – for 60 years. Egypt plans to start the nuclear power plant at full capacity by 2030.
