Rosnedra received a statement from Alltech about the abandonment of the Prizalivny area

The application of Pacific Oil Resources LLC (Alltech structure) on the early termination of the license for the Prizalivny area was received by Rosnedra on March 23, and preparations are underway to study the materials for consideration by the commission of this application, the agency told Kommersant.
“In the event that this site is transferred to the unallocated subsoil fund, if business entities are interested, work can be started to prepare for the auction,” the Rosnedra added.
Kommersant reported on April 6 that the group abandoned the Prizalivny site. Alltech explained to Kommersant that the abandonment of it is due to the “economic inexpediency” of development.
The bay area is the latest oil and gas asset of the Alltech group, it is under exploration. The site is located on the territory of the Nogliki district of the Sakhalin region. The site is at the exploration stage, oil and gas resources in category D0 were estimated at approximately 9 million tons and 1 billion cubic meters, respectively.
