Roskoshestvo discovered E. coli, salmonella and listeria in Russian-made dumplings. This is reported by TASS with reference to the results of the organization’s research.

Roskachestvo found listeria in dumplings of the VkusVill brand – bacteria that cause listeriosis, a food-borne illness dangerous for people at risk. Salmonella was found in the products of Hot Stuff, Myasnoy Dvorik, Siberian Collection, Restoria and Turakovo – some types of bacteria cause typhoid fever, meningitis and other diseases.

Escherichia coli was also recorded in Ostankino Traditional, Starodvorye and Lozhkarev. Both violations were found in Green Line brand dumplings.

Roskoshestvo explained that bacteria could have gotten into the products due to non-compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards in production and temperature conditions during transportation. The dumpling manufacturers, as the organization clarified, have been informed of the violations.

No problems with microbiology were identified in the dumplings of the brands Atyashevo, Auchan, Bolshaya Kastrolya, Grand Menu, Myasnov, Caesar, Miratorg, Chernyshikhinskie Pelmeni, Sergius Kanon and Caesar. Roskachestvo added that the most meat filling is contained in the products “Vkusvill”, “Myasnov” and “Restoria”, and the least in the dumplings “Turakovo” and “Auchan”.
