Roskomnadzor to buy radio network analyzers for Crimea and Rostov for 1.7 billion rubles – Kommersant

The Main Radio Frequency Center (GRCHTS, subordinated to Roskomnadzor) will purchase equipment for determining the location of radio emission sources and analyzing the spectrum. The GRFC posted tenders on the public procurement portal on April 28. They involve the purchase of equipment for determining geographic coordinates, mobile and stationary small-sized technical radio monitoring systems, radio network and spectrum analyzers, as well as antenna complexes.

A Forbes source in one of the operators admitted that the GRFC would control and clear the spectrum for civilian needs. According to him, “it is quite possible that a certain amount of radio-electronic means (transmitters) of different standards and frequencies has accumulated on the territory.” According to another interlocutor of the publication, the purchased equipment will allow the GRFC to check the compliance of the radiation values ​​declared by telecom operators, which will give Roskomnadzor “the widest possibilities” in order to fine operators.

The GRCHTs and Roskomnadzor told Forbes that the center regularly “carries out the modernization of equipment” in accordance with the plans for the development of the radio monitoring system approved by the department. It is argued that these activities “allow the company to ensure effective control of the operation of radio-electronic means on the territory of Russia.”
