Roskomnadzor asked Google to immediately restore deleted videos from the YouTube channel of the Russian Embassy in the UK and Northern Ireland. About it says in a post on the agency’s website.
“Roskomnadzor considers any restrictions on the specified YouTube channel unacceptable and demands that access to deleted videos be immediately restored, that the agency be informed, and that the reasons for the introduction of discriminatory measures be explained,” the agency said in a statement.
The RKN called Google’s measures to restrict the channel’s work violating the “key principles of the free flow of information and unhindered access to it.”
Earlier, the embassy reported that 29 videos had been removed from the diplomatic mission’s Youtube channel. Most of them are interviews of the Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin. The embassy also demanded that Youtube restore the deleted videos and apologize.
