Rosaviatsia again extended temporary restriction of flights to 11 airports in the southern and central parts of Russia. The ban is valid until September 28.
Flights to the airports of Rostov-on-Don, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Elista, Simferopol, Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk and Lipetsk are limited. As an alternative, the Federal Air Transport Agency advises using airports in Sochi, Volgograd, Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol and Moscow.
The temporary flight restriction regime is being extended weekly for the 35th time. Due to these measures, the passenger traffic of Kuban airports is already shrunk by a third. In August the government singled out 2.5 billion rubles to support closed airports in the south and center of the country.
