Rosatom and subsidiary DP World established a joint venture to develop container transportation

Rusatom Cargo (an enterprise of the state corporation Rosatom) and the Russian subsidiary of one of the world’s largest logistics companies DP World (UAE) – DP World Russia FSE have registered a joint venture to develop container transportation along the Northern Sea Route (NSR). Interfax and Prime report this with reference to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, on October 20, Rusatom Cargo and DP World Russia FSE registered International Container Logistics LLC in Moscow. The share of Rusatom Cargo in the enterprise was 51%, DP World Russia FSE – 49%. Alexey Levitsky is indicated as the general director of the enterprise. The company’s authorized capital is RUB 960 million.
Rosatom and DP World Russia FSE agreed on the joint development of Euro-Asian logistics and container transportation along the Northern Sea Route in June at the SPIEF. At the same time, the parties signed an agreement on strategic cooperation.
Rosatom is the infrastructure operator of the Northern Sea Route. In June 2019, the concern, as well as the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Norilsk Nickel (MOEX: GMKN) and DP World (controlled by the government of the Emirate of Dubai) agreed to jointly implement a project for the integrated development of the Northern Sea Route.
