The owner of 51% of the shares of Delo Group, Sergei Shishkarev, agreed in August with Rosatom, which owns 49%, on parity participation in the management of the group, Mr. Shishkarev said on the sidelines of the EEF.
“We agreed, for which I am very grateful, on Rosatom’s more active participation in the management of the company,” he said. “I myself, as a shareholder, agreed to this. They have their own practices. We have a private beginning, and I developed the company, but today the company has become so big, the experience of the state corporation, their management techniques, the digitalization that we can get through them, and other competencies are simply necessary today.” He added that the shares remain unchanged, but “we agreed that we don’t particularly mention the legal component anywhere” and “from a management point of view, there is parity and consensus decision-making on all issues.”
Sergey Shishkarev also said that the companies signed an additional agreement according to which they are changing the structure of the board of directors to equal participation on both sides, while Mr. Shishkarev himself remains the chairman.
Meanwhile, new representatives of Rosatom have already appeared on the boards of directors of the subsidiaries of the Delo Group of Companies – TransContainer, Global Ports – for equal participation. “From a development point of view, cooperation with Rosatom only inspires me,” concluded Mr. Shishkarev. “It is comfortable. There were periods when it was not easy, we were getting used to it, we looked, and yet it will be four years already, and this is quite a serious period, but in the moment there is complete mutual understanding and comfort.”
