Rollton manufacturer forecasts 10% sales growth due to high demand

Ilya Myshenko, Corporate Marketing and Sales Director of Mareven Food Central (produces products under the Rollton and BigBon brands), said that the company expects to increase product sales in Russia in 2022. It is expected that in commodity terms the indicators will grow by 10%.
“We grew last year, and we are growing this year as well. According to our estimates, the increase in sales in units at the end of the year may be about 10%. Business plans foresee growth next year as well. But we estimate it a little more conservatively, primarily because there is still uncertainty on the market. But there is a demand for our products, it is stable,” Mr. Myshenko said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Ilya Myshenko specified that the key driver of sales growth is the growing demand among consumers. According to him, this year the consumption of instant noodles in Russia has grown to 14.6 units per capita. At the same time, in 2021, the indicator was at the level of 13 units.
The most popular product produced by the company is instant noodles, which account for more than half of all sales, says Mr. Myshenko, followed by mashed potatoes, and pasta. A smaller part of the sales volume is accounted for by instant broths.
The interlocutor of the agency said that the share of new products in total sales is within 10%. In addition, Mareven Food Central began to develop online sales, but so far this is a small part of the total volume, but due to the start from a low base, it shows a three-digit growth, he specified.
Growth in sales of fast food products was also observed last year. Thus, over 2 billion packages of instant noodles were sold in Russia in 11 months of 2021, which is 6.1% more than a year earlier. In monetary terms, the indicators increased by 16%. At the same time, for the same months of 2020, growth was at the level of 7.4% and 1.7%, respectively.
