Reuters: Musk says Twitter will continue to comply with EU digital services law

We are talking about the law on digital services (Digital Services Act), which regulates the work of IT companies in the EU.
The European Parliament voted to pass the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act on 5 July. The adopted norms oblige digital platforms to fight against illegal or malicious content, as well as to protect the rights of users and their personal data. For non-compliance with the established standards, the company may face a fine of up to 6% of the annual turnover.
Elon Musk closed the deal to buy Twitter on October 27th. The transaction amount is $ 44 billion. A few hours after the purchase, the entrepreneur fired CEO and CFO of the company. Mr Musk intends recover accounts suspended for “questionable or minor reasons.” He advocates freedom of speech and the abolition of lifelong account bans.
