Today, October 21, the French automaker Renault Group introduced third quarter reporting. The company’s revenue grew by 20.5%, amounting to €9.8 billion. During this period, Renault sold 481 thousand cars, which is 2.4% less than in the third quarter of 2021.
According to the company, a slight decrease in sales volumes was corrected by an increase in car prices. In addition to the general increase in prices, Renault, like many other automakers, has become more focused on selling more expensive cars. France remains the largest markets for Renault (344.8 thousand vehicles have been sold there since the beginning of the year), Germany (106.9 thousand) and Italy (104.4 thousand).
In May Renault sold her stake in AvtoVAZ and her own plant in Moscow to the Russian authorities. Renault’s revenue for the quarter is adjusted for the sale of the company’s Russian assets: €537 million is associated with a stake in AvtoVAZ, €330 million is associated with Renault Russia.
