Renaissance Credit will stop SWIFT transfers in euros and dollars

From October 27, Renaissance Credit Bank will no longer conduct transactions in dollars and euros through the SWIFT system due to restrictions imposed by a foreign correspondent bank. As specified in the message of the press service of the financial organization, the content of which leads “Interfax”, now both incoming and outgoing transfers in foreign currency via SWIFT will be unavailable for bank customers.
Previously, similar restrictions were extended to other Russian banks. At the end of September, Tinkoff Bank notified their customers that they will be able to receive SWIFT transfers in dollars and euros only from three CIS countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan (and only with a commission of 3% of incoming transfers).
In March, the EU officially turned off from the SWIFT interbank system, seven large Russian banks that fell under the sanctions. The decision followed after the start of Russia’s military special operation in Ukraine.
