Moscow authorities will build an administrative and business complex instead of the federal Parliamentary Center in Mnevniki. The plot of land was returned to the ownership of the city of Moscow, construction could cost 25-30 billion rubles. Writes about it RBC with reference to the procurement documentation.
The land plot with an area of 15.9 hectares, which has been in federal ownership since 2015, was decided to be transferred following several meetings of the town planning and land commission in 2021 and early 2022. Now it belongs to the ANO Development of Sports Infrastructure Facilities. The agreement was signed in May this year.
The site in Mnevniki was chosen for the construction of a complex for the State Duma and the Federation Council in 2014, previously there was the Sexton club of the Night Wolves motorcycle club. In 2015, two competitions were held for the construction of the building of the complex. No more work was done to build the center.
In 2020, President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with party leaders, said that the Presidential Administration and the Moscow Mayor’s Office were looking for ways to build the center. The name of businessman Mikhail Gutseriev was mentioned as possible investors. It was also reported in 2021 that construction was ongoing.
