RBC: a subsidiary of Rosatom is negotiating the purchase of a stake in the Security Code

“Daughter” of the state corporation “Rosatom” “Rusatom – Digital Solutions” is negotiating the acquisition of a stake in the IT company “Security Code”. The parties are discussing the possibility of partnership on a parity basis. This was reported RBC with reference to sources.
Initially, Rosatom was interested in buying the Security Code in 2021, but then the IT company hoped to find a buyer with a better offer. Negotiations intensified after the start of the military operation in Ukraine. According to one of RBC’s sources, Rosatom may also try to consolidate several players in the field of information security.
According to RBC, negotiations on the acquisition of the Security Code are being conducted as part of a unified digital strategy of Rosatom. According to the source, under the new conditions, the deal will also “contribute to the implementation of the tasks set for the corporation to protect the critical information infrastructure” of Russia.
The amount of the possible transaction is not called. According to RBC experts, the cost of 100% of the asset could be 4.5-4.75 billion rubles.
Security Code was founded in 2008. The company is working on the information protection of state systems: “Electronic Budget”, GAS “Vybory”, National Payment Card System (NSPK), “Platon” system and others. According to SPARK, 85% of the company’s share belongs to Philip Gens, 10% to Petr Efimov and 5% to Alla Golova. At the end of 2021, the company’s net profit amounted to 4.59 billion rubles, profit – 884 million rubles.
