Raiffeisenbank will introduce a commission for the storage of dollars and euros by legal entities

From March 20, Raiffeisenbank will charge legal entities a commission for storing dollars and euros, informed credit organisation. The fee is introduced only in case of keeping currencies on accounts for more than two days.
The commission will be 0% for balances up to 50 thousand in dollars and euros and 0.03% per day for balances above this amount. In June 2022 the bank introduced commission for storing currency on accounts for individuals – 0.2% per month (min. 10 USD) for amounts from 5 thousand to 500 thousand in each currency (for Japanese yens – from 500 thousand to 5 million) , for amounts over 500 thousand. e. – 0.5%.
Starting from March 2, Raiffeisenbank increased the minimum amount of transfers in dollars for legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and individuals engaged in private practice to $15,000. From March 3, the bank suspended opening accounts for new legal entities and additional currency accounts for existing corporate clients.
Raiffeisenbank is a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) in Russia. According to Financial Times, the bank services 40-50% of Russia’s payments with other countries. In the third quarter of 2022, the Russian subsidiary provided 68% of the financial result of the entire Austrian group.
