President Vladimir Putin believes that the preferential family mortgage program at 6% needs to be extended.
“It is important here that this program (preferential mortgage – Kommersant) be at least continued. Preferential family mortgage at 6% – we will definitely do this,” Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with participants and winners of the “Family of the Year” and “This is Our Family” competitions.
Regarding the preferential mortgage program on the secondary market, the president noted that “the issue is not about money,” but about the transparency of operations. “It’s one thing when you buy a new home, and everything is clear there. Here’s a family, here’s a mortgage, here’s housing,” the president said. According to the head of state, there are fears of abuse of rights under preferential lending programs for secondary housing and noted that this “needs to be thought about.”
