Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing servicemen to join the accumulative mortgage system (NIS) of housing immediately after being included in a special register. Document published on the official portal of legal information.
According to the law, military personnel are provided with all savings from nominal accounts when they are closed and military personnel are excluded from the NIS. Soldiers and sergeants who entered the register before entering higher military educational institutions are not excluded from it during the period of study.
Registry participants, it follows from the document, who have been serving for more than 20 years, can receive funds from a personal savings account during their military service, but not more than once a year.
The implementation of the mortgage program for the provision of housing for military personnel is carried out by FGKU Rosvoinipoteka. In order to receive a military mortgage, servicemen must open an account with the NIS, which receives a monthly government subsidy. Its size is indexed annually. Previously, military personnel could use this amount no earlier than three years from the date of inclusion in the register.
