Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to simplify entry into the country for foreign investors and highly qualified specialists. The instruction was given following the meeting of the president with members of the Business Russia organization on May 26.
As follows from the document, the Cabinet of Ministers must analyze the migration legislation of the Russian Federation by August 1 and identify existing barriers to the entry, stay and labor activity of such foreign citizens.
After such an analysis, the government should submit changes to the legislation that simplify the procedure for issuing visas and obtaining work permits.
Yesterday, June 29, Putin declaredthat Russian companies “are already proving and have proven that they can work better.” He urged to help them “unwind” so that Russia has its own trademarks, “which the country can and will be proud of, which will be recognizable not only in Russia, but also in the world as a whole.”
June 16 at the plenary session SPIEF the president said that entrepreneurs need to focus on investing in the development of Russian business, in which case they will be in a safe place. Putin also called unacceptable the situation when funds are earned in Russia and then deposited in foreign accounts.
