We need to come to an agreement with business so that companies understand that it is safer to work in Russia. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a plenary session WEF.
“We need to somehow come to an agreement with business. They must understand and proceed from the fact that it is safer to work here. Therefore, there is no need to step on the same rake,” he said.
During his speech, Putin once again reminded entrepreneurs that “it is safer and better to invest capital in Russia.” We are talking about both large-scale infrastructure projects and local urban development and tourism projects, he explained.
During a speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) the president also called on Russian businesses to invest money in domestic projects. “Our people have an apt saying: where you are born, you are useful,” the president said.
In March, during a speech at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), he statedthat a responsible business does not hide the funds received offshore, but registers companies in Russia and invests money in the construction of social facilities and infrastructure, thereby making “everyone’s life better.” Putin stressed that companies that invest resources in creating their own technologies and brands “must and will be supported.”
