With the help of an individual investment account of the third type (IIS-3), it will be possible to purchase only foreign securities of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. This was stated by the director of the financial policy department of the RF Ministry of Finance Ivan Chebeskov. According to him, in this way the department stimulates the flow of investments into the economy of Russia and its partners.
The EAEU includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.
“Now it is possible to buy foreign securities with some IIS – this option will be limited only to foreign securities of the EAEU countries. Other foreign securities cannot be purchased for this type of account. We are not trying to stimulate investment in foreign companies, foreign economies,” Mr. Chebeskov said in a comment Cbonds.
June 1 Ministry of Finance introduced a bill to the government that allows individuals to open no more than three contracts for the maintenance of IIS-3 at the same time without limiting the amount of funds deposited on them. Under the new instrument, investors will receive tax preferences in the form of a combination of IIS-1 and IIS-2 benefits.
