American corporation Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) will enter a special mark for content generated by artificial intelligence (AI). AI content will be labeled in the company’s Facebook, Threads and Instagram applications.
Both users and the company itself will be able to mark “Made with AI” if they detect signs of the operation of neural networks. Previously, Meta banned videos with generated people if they did something in the video that they had not done in real life. Now, in addition to deepfakes, a large amount of other content from neural networks has appeared, so the company decided to reconsider its policy.
The banned Meta does not want to be accused of restricting freedom of speech, so they decided not to ban, but to label such content. Photorealistic images from neural networks are already being tagged; in the future, video and audio content will be tagged in this way.
