Producer of greenhouse vegetables GK Rost will process grain

According to the Kontur.Focus service, on March 30, the owners of a major producer of greenhouse vegetables GK Rost, Sergey Rukin and Dmitry Lashin, registered the Amirost company in Rostov-on-Don, which will specialize in the production of starch and starch-containing products, feed for animals, storage and wholesale trade in grain. Rukin owns 78% of the shares in the new company, Lashin – 22%. A representative of Rost Group confirmed that the company plans to develop a new direction – grain processing. According to him, the group has the opportunity to develop and diversify the business. He declined to comment further as the project is in its infancy.
GK Rost specializes in growing tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuces. It manages 19 greenhouse complexes with a total area of 500 hectares in 13 regions of Russia, as well as four packaging and distribution centers. Consolidated financial performance of the group is not disclosed.
