Printer manufacturer HP began liquidation of its Russian subsidiary

Manufacturer of personal computers, laptops and printers HP Inc. began the liquidation of its Russian legal entity HP Inc., as follows from the company’s extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The liquidation deadline is set to October 23, 2024.

Hewlett Packard split into HP Inc. in 2015. and HP Enterprise (HPE). HP Inc. was engaged in the production of PCs, laptops and printers, and NPE sold cloud solutions and servers. The companies were not legally connected in any way.

Since the beginning of March 2022, HP Inc. stopped accepting orders and supplying equipment to the Russian market, and at the end of May announced the complete closure of business in the country. Losses from leaving the Russian Federation company appreciated $23 million with revenue of $63 billion and net profit of $3.2 billion halved. HPE wrote off losses from leaving Russia and Belarus in the amount of $126 million in the second quarter of 2022 with revenue of $6.71 billion and net profit of $250 million.

How notes RBC, claims were filed against HP Inc in the amount of more than 150 million rubles. In particular, Treolan filed a claim for 120.8 million rubles, and system integrator Paladin – for 30.9 million rubles. The requirements are related to the recovery of unjust enrichment and fulfillment of obligations under service contracts.
