Russian producer Iosif Prigozhin commented on the situation with the cancellation of concerts of Ukrainian groups and musicians in Europe. According to him, this is definitely not being done because of the “hand of the Kremlin.”
“They see the Kremlin’s hand everywhere,” Prigozhin said. He ironically noted that the Russian authorities “have nothing better to do than cancel concerts of Ukrainian artists in Europe.”
In what is happening, the producer sees another reason. He is sure that Europe is simply tired of the Ukrainians and everything that is happening, informs AIF website. At the same time, Prigogine pointed out that music should not be a tool for settling scores and blackmail.
Formerly the leader of the group “Voply Vidoplyasova” Oleg Skripka said that concert venues in Europe are canceling performances by Ukrainian musicians. According to him, this is being done “under the auspices that Ukrainians are fascists,” so they “cannot sing their songs in their native language.” At the same time, he pointed out that “this is how the long arms of the Kremlin work.”
Violin’s concert in Hamburg has been canceled, according to the statement. Also, the Ukrainian media indicate that earlier the writer Serhiy Zhadan complained about the same problem, to whom a scheduled performance in Milan was canceled.
