Prices in Russian restaurants increased by 20% over the year

Prices for dishes in the Russian restaurant segment have grown by 20% this year, while in fast food they have not changed much, informed Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia (FRiO) Sergey Mironov in a comment to RIA Novosti.
“Meal prices have risen by an average of 20%, but some have not risen at all, such as at fast foods,” he said.
Igor Bukharov, President of the FR&O, noted that the refusal of foreign suppliers to work in Russia forced many to look for alternative options, or to supply the same products by alternate routes, which increases their cost.
“We have been gradually doing this since 2014. There are no problems… Many are finally switching to the Russian product, and it shows,” he said.
