Russian President Vladimir Putin amended his December decree banning Russian exporters from supplying oil and oil products under contracts that link to the G7 and European Union (EU) price ceilings. He excluded from the scope of the decree contracts for supplies to friendly countries concluded before February 1, 2023. The decree on amendments was published on April 28 on the website of the President of the Russian Federation.
The new decree came into force from the day of its official publication, April 28.
