Alexey Pivovarov (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent) said that he fired a significant part of the team of his “Editorial” project because he could no longer pay salaries. The decision was made due to the law prohibiting advertising with foreign agents. He will transfer the rights to the team’s Telegram channel to the editors

The journalist wrote that these are “difficult and painful changes.” “I completely transfer the legal rights and management of this channel to the team of editors who have been and are leading it all the time,” he wrote on Telegram, clarifying that in the very near future the channel will also change its name and logo.

The “Editorial” channel on Youtube has more than 4 million subscribers, and on Telegram – more than 1 million. The Ministry of Justice added Alexey Pivovarov to the list of foreign agents in June 2022. This week State Dump accepted in the third reading the law on a complete ban on advertising on all information resources of foreign agents, as well as advertising of such resources. The ban applies to any platform – websites, blogs and social networks. Because of this, the closure of your project on Youtube is already announced journalist and TV presenter Katerina Gordeeva (declared a foreign agent).
