The famous program is preparing for its anniversary
In the coming year, the program “Good night, kids!” will celebrate its 60th anniversary. But Khryusha, Stepashka, Filya and Karkusha have already started preparing gifts for their fans. A limited collection of postage stamps with images of famous TV characters arrived at the country’s post offices in December.
The solemn ceremony of canceling new postage stamps dedicated to the anniversary of “Good Night, Kids!” took place in the studio where the national children’s program is being filmed. However, the term “ceremony” should not be taken too literally. The event was of a very informal nature, which is more than logical in a situation when Piggy “comes out” to the microphone and greets all those gathered. It was this hero, the main pig of the country and the favorite of millions of children and adults, who was entrusted with applying the postmark, which symbolizes the “cancellation,” that is, the cancellation of the stamp as a sign of postage. Yes, it is no longer possible to send a letter or postcard with it, but for many philatelists it is the canceled stamp that is of great value.
Together with Khryusha, the famous presenter of the program Oksana Fedorova, chairman of the board of directors of the company “Good night, kids!” took part in the ceremony. Alexander Mitroshenkov, singer Nina Shatskaya and General Director of the organization “Marka”, which publishes postage stamps, Artem Adibekov.
Needless to say that they all grew up together with the heroes of “Good night, kids!”? That is probably why the legendary program remains for them, as for most residents of our country, a symbol of a happy childhood. And stamps with Piggy, Stepashka, Filet and Karkusha are seen on the eve of the New Year as the most correct way to decorate letters to Santa Claus and loved ones who live in other cities.
“GOOG night kids!” has always been presented as a program that exists outside of a temporal context, however, the history of the “evening TV fairytale” has many dramatic turns. The source of inspiration for the program was the GDR television animated series about the sandman. Work on the Soviet program began in the fall of 1963, and before going on air, the creators spent almost a year developing scripts, creating scenery sketches and puppets.
The first heroes of the program were Buratino and the hare Tepa. Also in the frame were children under six years old and actors who told them fairy tales. Puppet characters were gradually updated. In 1968, the dog Phil appeared, in 1970 – the hare Stepashka, a year later – the pig Khryusha (the future favorite of the public became a spontaneous replacement for the buffoon Yaroshka, whose doll broke right before the broadcast) and in 1979 – the crow Karkusha.
Not everyone remembers this, but there was a time when the program was released without the participation of puppet characters. During the period between Brezhnev and Gorbachev, the television bosses suddenly fell out of favor with the dolls and only announcers remained on the air. The renaissance for Khryusha and Stepashka happened closer to perestroika, but a new stage in the history of the country was the time when the program almost ended.
The transition of television to commercial channels has become a serious test for projects that are poorly suited for advertising. As a result, the program changed broadcast channels, timing and airing times, as well as presenters, among whom not only announcers began to appear, but also actors and musicians. Considerable excitement was caused by the appearance of “Miss Universe” Oksana Fedorova in the frame, which immediately became a reason for jokes about expanding the audience to include baby daddies.
Some stability in the show appeared only in 2010, when the program “settled” first on “Carousel” and then on “Culture”. Currently, among the regular hosts of “Good night, kids!” Oksana Fedorova, Anna Mikhalkova, Sergey Bezrukov and Mikhail Porechenkov.
