French fashion house Louis Vuitton has announced Twitterthat the American rapper, producer and designer Pharrell Williams became the new creative director of the men’s clothing line of the company. The musician will present his first collection in June 2024 during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
Pharrell Williams has already worked with the French fashion house. They collaborated in 2004 and 2008, releasing joint collections of clothing and accessories. Mr. Williams himself launched his own clothing brand Billionaire Boys Club back in 2003.
“Pharrell Williams is a visionary whose creative universes stretch from music to art to fashion, and has established himself as a global cultural icon over the past 20 years. The way he transcends boundaries in the various worlds he explores is in keeping with Louis Vuitton’s status as a cultural home and will reinforce his commitment to innovation, pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship,” the company said on Instagram (owned by Meta, which is a recognized extremist organization and banned from Russia).
