People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Lebedev dies at the age of 100

Press Service of the Theatre. The Moscow City Council announced the death at the age of 101 of the oldest theater actor, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Lebedev.
“Nikolai Sergeevich died today. We are all mourning,” they said in the theater.
So far, there is no information about the place of farewell and funeral of the artist.
Nikolai Lebedev is a participant in the Second World War. In the summer of 1941 he was shell-shocked near Uman and taken prisoner. At the end of the war, he combined his studies at the Moscow Art Theater School with work at the Moscow Theater for Young Spectators. After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater, he was not accepted, since he was captured in his biography, and Lebedev ended up at the Mossovet Theater, on the stage of which he appeared for more than 60 years and played in all significant performances.
A wide audience also knows Nikolai Lebedev from the films “Evdokia”, “Liberation”, “Crew”, “Vacation at his own expense” and the TV series “Eternal Call” and “War and Peace”.
