The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (UFAS) for the Penza region fined Alfa-Bank JSC for calling citizens with advertising content. About it informs department press office. According to the antimonopolists, calls with stories about banking products were received by subscribers who did not agree to receive advertising.
It is noted that the applicant, whose complaint formed the basis of the check, also did not give consent to advertising to the mobile operator or other persons.
“The commission of the Penza OFAS Russia recognized the advertising of bank services as contrary to the requirements of Part 1 of Art. 18 of the Federal Law “On Advertising”,” the service said.
The management issued a resolution to Alfa-Bank, recognized the financial structure as responsible in accordance with Part 1 of Art. 14.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the law on advertising) and imposed a fine of 250 thousand rubles.
