After the revocation of the Qiwi Bank license, payment for some services in the Metallinvestbank application and ATMs through Qiwi services (MOEX: QIWI) has become temporarily unavailable. This was reported by the press service of Metallinvestbank.
“Due to the revocation of Qiwi Bank’s license, payment for cellular communications, Internet and other services provided through the Qiwi service in the mobile application, online banking and ATMs will be temporarily unavailable,”— reported bank.
The Central Bank revoked the license of Qiwi Bank on February 21 due to shadow transactions and violations of the law. After the license was revoked, Qiwi Bank blocked transactions through Qiwi wallets. The Contact payment system (operator – Qiwi Bank) has suspended operation.
Metallinvestbank warned about problems with transfers via Qiwi in 2023, when the Central Bank introduced temporary restrictions on the work of Qiwi Bank. In particular, repayment of Metallinvestbank loans through Qiwi was temporarily unavailable.
