The editor-in-chief of the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper, Pavel Gusev, said that there are too few journalists in Russia who write professionally about culture and art.
At the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum – Forum of United Cultures, Gusev emphasized that he considers this not only a Russian, but also a global problem.
“You know, there are beans, big grains. And there is poppy, which is almost invisible if you scatter it. And we, journalists who write about culture and art, we are poppy seeds,” said Pavel Nikolaevich. He drew attention to the peculiarities of training journalists in Russian universities, where, alas, they mainly train future PR specialists who are ready to “sit in the waiting rooms of their bosses.” According to Gusev, personnel in journalism should be trained by professional journalists who have been engaged in the profession for many years.
