The John Deere plant in Orenburg, which stopped work due to sanctions, is ready to buy out the Koblik Group holding. About it informed Governor of the region Denis Pasler.
“The industrial site in Orenburg will open up prospects for the company to expand its activities. It has advantages both in terms of logistics and raw material base. It is planned to invest hundreds of millions of rubles in production and create more than 200 jobs,” the governor said after a meeting with the owner of the Koblik Group, Yegor Koblik.
It is specified that the new potential owner of the plant intends to expand the product line and establish the production of trailers.
Koblik Group has agro-machine-building enterprises and a network of 20 dealerships. The group includes two plants in Voronezh, one each in Smolensk and Minsk. The holding specializes in the production of equipment for post-harvest grain processing.
In 2022, the American manufacturer of agricultural machinery Deere suspended deliveries to Russia and Belarus. The company’s plant in Orenburg has been operating since 2005 and has been producing sowing and tillage equipment. Due to sanctions, the company stopped. As the governor clarified, the region has done a lot of work to find a new investor. In April, local media wrotethat the company is being sold for 3.2 billion rubles.
