Code fragments from Yandex’s internal repository, a tool for storing code and working with it, have become publicly available, the company’s press service said. Earlier in social networks it was reported that 44.7 GB of Yandex source codes were leaked to the Internet. The company is conducting an internal investigation. Yandex denies the hack.
“Yandex security service has found code fragments from an internal repository in the public domain. However, their content differs from the current version of the repository, which is used in Yandex services,” the press service told Interfax. The company emphasized that the repositories are not related to the personal data of users.
According to a TASS source, code fragments from the repository were made public through the fault of a company employee.
Earlier today, on January 26, the leak of the Yandex source codes was reported by “Habr”. The names of individual archives that got into the network make it possible to identify Yandex services.
