Residents of Crimea will not be able to place orders on the Ozon marketplace due to a disruption in transport communications that arose as a result of an explosion on the Crimean bridge, the press service of the RIA Novosti company reported. Delivery of previously placed orders may take longer.
“Due to an incident on the bridge, the delivery of orders from our platform for buyers in Crimea is delayed, and it is also temporarily impossible to make new orders until the situation with cargo transport between the peninsula and the mainland is resolved,” the message says.
According to company representatives, at the request of buyers, orders from the Ozon website are delivered by third-party companies to the points of issue of independent agents, who also issue orders from other online retailers.
On the morning of October 8 on the Crimean bridge exploded freight car. As a result of the incident, seven fuel tanks of a train heading to the Crimea caught fire. Two spans of the bridge were partially collapsed. President Vladimir Putin named what happened was a terrorist attack and blamed it on the special services of Ukraine.
