In the press service of Ozon clarified in a TASS comment that the company plans to open a local marketplace in Armenia and build its own logistics infrastructure. At the same time, Ozon intends to attract local sellers who would sell their goods both in Armenia and in the Russian Federation.

Ozone graduated Q1 2023 with a net profit of 10.7 billion rubles, while a year ago the company suffered losses in the amount of 19.1 billion rubles over this period of time. Net profit in the first quarter is associated with the non-monetary effect of the bond restructuring, an Ozon representative told Vedomosti. The company needs to reflect the revaluation of the debt restructuring.

The company’s turnover increased by 71% compared to the first quarter of 2022 and amounted to 303 billion rubles. Merchant sales nearly doubled, up 93%. Ozon received a record adjusted EBITDA of 8 billion rubles.
