Over nine months, Russian Railways increased the loading of export cargo into ports by 2.4%

Loading of export cargo into Russian seaports through the Russian Railways network from the beginning of January to the end of September 2023 increased to 251.8 million tons. Compared to the same period in 2022, the figure increased by 2.4%, reported company.

98.8 million tons of export cargo were transported to the ports of the north-west via the Russian Railways network (+5.8% compared to January-September 2022), to the Far East – 85.1 million tons (+0.4%), to south – 68 million tons (at the level of last year).

Positive dynamics in export transportation over nine months were ensured by:

• grain (loading increased to 10.6 million tons);
• chemicals and soda (up to 2 million tons);
• fertilizers (up to 18 million tons);
• coal (up to 136.4 million tons).

Toward the ports northwest coal transportation increased by 12.8%, to 43.1 million tons; fertilizers – by 10.4%, to 15.2 million tons; chemicals – by 24.6%, to 884.2 thousand tons; grain – 5.7 times, up to 360.4 thousand tons.

Transportation of coal through sea terminals Far East increased by 1.8%, to 70.3 million tons; oil cargo – by 4.5%, to 5.2 million tons; chemicals and soda – 6.1 times, up to 585.3 thousand tons; as well as grain – 15 times, up to 155.5 thousand tons.

To the ports south transportation of oil cargo increased by 1.1%, to 19.9 million tons; grain – 2.3 times, up to 10.1 million tons; ferrous metals – by 2.3%, to 7.5 million tons and chemicals – by 34.5%, to 519.2 thousand tons.
