The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has announced its film industry winners for the 77th time. This year, in several categories, the main prize went to the biographical drama “Oppenheimer” about the creator of the American atomic bomb, Robert Oppenheimer.
Thus, the film by British-American director Christopher Nolan received the BAFTA Award in the Best Film category.
The winner’s statuette was also awarded to Irish actor Cillian Murphy in the category “Best Actor” for his on-screen portrayal of Manhattan Project leader Robert Oppenheimer.
