The Meshchansky Court of Moscow has fined the Premier online cinema for not labeling “18+” in the films “The Barber of England” and “Perfect Strangers”. Both films show LGBT relationships.
The protocol says that the cinema set the 16+ limit, but all users had access to films. The representative of the company, Vladislav Veremeytsev, assured that after receiving the protocol, Premier restricted access to viewers under 18 years old.
“To recognize LLC Premier as guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Art. 6.2.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and impose a fine of 4 million rubles,” the judge announced the decision (quote from RIA Novosti).
Roskomnadzor made up 19 protocols for video services for LGBT content. So far, three court decisions have been issued: on fines against Tricolor Cinema and TV (in the amount of 1 million rubles), Peers.TV (1 million rubles) and an official of Tricolor (200 thousand rubles). In June, protocols were drawn up for “Kinopoisk” and TV channel TV-3.
