American actress Louise Fletcher has died at the age of 88 in France.
Fletcher brilliantly played in the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975). She embodied the image of the cruel nurse Mildred Ratched from the clinic for the mentally ill, where the character of Jack Nicholson ends up. The role brought the actress an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
In addition, the actress is known for filming in the films “Cruel Intentions”, “Flowers in the Attic” and the series “Shameless”.
She died in her sleep in her French home.
