American actress Louise Fletcher has died at the age of 88. Her agent David Shaul told the AP that the actress had passed away the day before, September 23, in her sleep at her home in France. Her son Andrew Bee told The Hollywood Reporterthat she died of natural causes.
Louise Fletcher gained popularity after playing a nurse in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975). This film brought her an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA award. She has more than ten roles to her credit.
