Oman's Mars bought a 23.9% stake in Polymetal from the ICT group – Kommersant

Maaden International Investment LLC (a subsidiary of Oman’s state fund Mars Development and Investment LLC) bought 23.9% of the share capital of Polymetal (MOEX: POLY). This was reported TASS at Polymetal.

Polymetal’s announcement clarifies that 23.9% of the company’s share capital corresponds to 113,201,189 shares. The deal was completed on January 28, the agency reports. The Omani subsidiary Mars heads a consortium of Omani investors.

In mid-May 2023, the United States imposed sanctions against the Russian JSC Polymetal. In August, Polymetal completed its re-registration from the Island of Jersey to the Astana International Financial Center in Kazakhstan. On October 2, Polymetal shares entered the index of the Kazakhstan exchange AIX. In the same month, the company, as part of an exchange bought it out 2.5 million common shares.
