The series “Actresses”, the main characters of which are theater actors, confirmed the validity of the words of Fyodor Bondarchuk that he does not understand anything in the theater. This opinion was expressed on Tuesday, April 25, by Oleg Menshikov, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, artistic director of the Moscow Drama Theater named after M. N. Yermolova.
Menshikov said that Bondarchuk once gave such an assessment to himself. After watching the “Actresses” he shot, Menshikov “convinced himself of the veracity of his words”, and the series itself, in his opinion, “did not happen.”
At the same time, the artist admitted that filming something about the theater is “catastrophically difficult,” reports Telegram-channel “Nemalakhov”.
The premiere of Fyodor Bondarchuk’s new series “Actresses” (18+) based on the script by Paulina Andreeva took place on March 30 at the Oktyabr cinema center in the capital, on the same day the first series of the dramedy appeared in online cinemas. “Actresses” is a series about the real life of theater actors, the main roles in which were played by Svetlana Khodchenkova, Sergey Gilev, Alexei Makarov.
