The general director of the National Payment Card System (NSCP) Vladimir Komlev is leaving his post on January 1, 2024, the NSPK press service told Kommersant. The information was also confirmed to Kommersant by the Central Bank.

Vladimir Komlev has headed the NSPK since 2014. Under his leadership, the company implemented the transfer of card processing of international payment systems to the territory of Russia. In 2015, the Mir payment system was also created. The Central Bank noted Mr. Komlev’s contribution to the development of the fast payment system.

Earlier today, December 18, about the departure of Mr. Komlev reported Frank Media citing sources. One of Frank Media’s sources reported that the decision to fire Vladimir Komlev was made by the Bank of Russia. According to another interlocutor of the publication, the reason could also be the decision of Mr. Komlev himself, who had previously tried to leave the post of general director of the NSPK. At first, according to Frank Media, the duties of the general director will be performed by Oleg Tishakov, who oversees the legal direction of the NSPK.
