NPO “Angstrem” passed under the control of the structure of “Rostec”

The Russian manufacturer of radio communication equipment for special purposes, NPO Angstrem, came under the control of the United Instrument-Making Corporation (OPK). The change of the governing body from May 8 is reflected in the extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

RBC with reference to the source writesthat the changes are related to the need to “build processes for the high-quality execution of the state defense order” and are temporary. Rostec, which includes the defense industry, did not comment on the change of the executive body. Prior to this, the enterprise was managed by Leonid Reiman’s company.

Another interlocutor of RBC notes that we are not talking about the seizure of assets, the change of leadership is designed to “stop any risks of disruption of the state defense order.” Another source says that NPO Angstrem canceled the state defense order due to a shortage of components. According to him, external control will allow the use of competition, since army suppliers “have not coped with the tasks of providing troops with communication systems.”

In March the President signed a decree that allows, in the event of a disruption in deliveries under the state defense order, to stop the rights of shareholders and the powers of the enterprise’s management bodies. According to the document, a managing organization will be determined based on the proposals of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which will exercise the powers of the sole executive body, as well as the general meeting of shareholders and the board of directors, to the extent necessary to fulfill the state defense order.
