Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak arrived in Vienna, reports TASS. On June 4, he will take part in the OPEC + ministerial meeting.
The meeting is being held in person for the first time since October 2022, when the OPEC+ countries agreed to cut oil production by 2 million barrels per day. In April, a number of countries announced voluntary additional production cuts by 1.6 million barrels per day until the end of 2023.
OPEC+ countries will discuss further production cuts, reported Reuters sources. According to the agency, negotiations will be held to reduce production by 1 million barrels per day. However, two Reuters sources said additional cuts were unlikely.
