Today, January 23, video streaming Netflix and the wrestling broadcasting corporation WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) signed a multi-year agreement, according to which the platform will begin broadcasting wrestling matches in the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Latin America and a number of other countries from 2025. Netflix paid $5 billion for the rights. The companies do not disclose the duration of the agreement, however, according to sources Bloombergit is designed for ten years.

As part of the agreement, Netflix receives the rights to broadcast wrestling matches and review programs, which attract a unique audience of almost 20 million viewers in the United States alone. Netflix has an audience of 247 million paid subscribers in 190 countries. Following news of the agreement, shares of TKO Group Holdings, which owns WWE, jumped 15%.
